Re: 10 months episode free....and now they are back. :(

Sam also has a learning disability and need extra help on top of the
whole CVS thing. It is hard enough to fight for his extra help let
alone the medical issue. The other day he asked me if he could be
homeschooled. Which completely shocked me. He is a very social kid
and usually throws a fit if we say we are going to change schools.
We will see what happens when he goes back to school.

So, this is the longest episode ever for him. At the longest his
episodes have lasted for 10 hours. Right now, we are at the 34th
hour and I think he might be coming out of it. His color is somewhat
back, he hasn't vomitted for 6 hours, and is just a little tired
still. I am so glad we seem to be over the hump of this one. This
morning was bad. He started vomiting bile so I called his GI doc,
who is usually awesome, and she pushed us off on the pediatrician and
blew it off to a bug. So I called his pediatrician and took him in
(40 minutes away). Thank goodness for phenergan suppositories. Had
they worked we would be in the hospital right now. He has never used
those before, so he was a little nervous about it. He has been so
lucky not to have ever been hospitalized with CVS and I was so scared
of how close he got this time. I don't know if the 10 mon break was
a good thing, because the episode came back worse. I was so worried
about him this morning. I started 2nd guessing myself and thinking I
was blowing off something else for an episode. I am so glad his
pediatrician knows about CVS and is so good with him.

Well, I better go check on him and start dinner for my hubby and
other little one. I hope everyone out there is doing well.

~Ann
