Seeds of Transformation: Toward a Spiritual Renaissance in a Time o   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #90 of 339 |

Dear Friend,

More than any other single thing that I hear from readers of the
extraordinary "Conversations with God" books is this comment: "I
want to do something to help change things the way this message has
changed me! What can I do?"

I am writing to you now to ask you to be in the vanguard of change
in our world, to engage personally with me and with hundreds of
other people from all over the world in the creation of an
extraordinary event that could catalyze important change in
individual and collective lives everywhere. We will be gathering
this June 3, 4 and 5, and I would be so grateful if you would
consider being among us. Please, may I tell you about this special
weekend?

Humanity's Team is joining with the Institute of Advanced Theology
at Bard College, one of the foremost centers for religious studies
in the world, to present a watershed spiritual conference and
festival.

The event, "Seeds of Transformation: Toward a Spiritual Renaissance
in a Time of Fundamental Change," from June 3 to 5, is expected to
attract many hundreds of people -- perhaps close to 1,000, within
and beyond Humanity's Team -- who will travel to Bard's exquisite
Hudson Riverfront campus north of New York City from around the
world to participate in and contribute to a transformative change.

This change is the creation and experience of the New Spirituality,
an event marked by joy, love and fun!

During that inspiring weekend, these pioneers -- clergy and
laypeople, scholars and students, professionals and laborers,
business people and artists, policy makers and concerned
individuals -- will explore an emerging trend that is bending the
collective path of humanity. They will explore, and experience
firsthand, the undeniable fact that people around the world are
increasingly opening their minds to the possibility that our current
theologies may be limited in what they understand. These people are
considering that there may be something they do not know about God,
about Life and about themselves, the knowing of which could "change
everything" -- and create a brighter tomorrow.

Will you be among this vanguard?

The remarkable assemblage on that extraordinary weekend will also
include the 2005 Worldwide Gathering of Humanity's Team. In fact,
that is its primary purpose.

In the bucolic campus setting of Bard College, in New York's
beautiful Hudson Valley region, stewards of the "civil rights
movement for the soul" will come together to be exponents of the New
Spirituality. We will come together to educate and connect with
ourselves and each other and to harness and channel the collective
energy of ourselves so we can progress the movement forward. We will
also come together to represent the grandest version of the greatest
vision ever we held about what the New Spirituality can mean.

We will be the change we wish to see in the world, spreading joy and
sharing love, choosing to live our lives as demonstrations of our
highest and grandest beliefs, rather than as denials of them,
demonstrating through our very being -- for ourselves and for
others, including those who may not believe through word alone --
what living the New Spirituality can be like. And in that grand
state of being -- in that state of love -- we will also meet with
each other, share information, enhance relationships, dance with
each other, inspire each other, inspire people who'd never heard
of "Conversations With God" or Humanity's Team -- and have fun --
all in the interest of creating the experience of a joy that our
soul has longed for us to experience for many millennia -- the joy
of Being One.

In fact, a mantra of the Gathering weekend might be, "Spread joy,
share love and have fun!"

The idea is that when we all get together -- when this extraordinary
assemblage of remarkable individuals from within and beyond
Humanity's Team creates that joy-spreading, love-sharing and fun
experience at Bard -- we will know that we can create and experience
that joy, love and fun! We will also know that we can create and
experience a version of it again, when we return home -- perhaps a
yet-grander version of it -- and, in turn, with that version,
inspire still others to create and experience the joy, love and fun
of the New Spirituality themselves.

In creating that inspiring, grander version through our very being,
we will also be helping us all to bring ourselves, and therefore
humanity, to a spiritual "tipping point." This tipping point will be
a remarkable moment when humanity crosses an exquisite, palpable,
yet invisible threshold. On crossing that mystical threshold, just a
small dose of love or compassion will "tip the system." And as if by
an epidemic, people throughout the world will then rapidly and
extensively experience the New Spirituality in all its splendor.

This is very real. It is happening now. We are moving toward that
threshold. Do you feel it? Do you feel the shift?

With this momentous shift as a backdrop, I urge you to invest in
yourself, in your children, in your children's children -- indeed,
in humanity itself -- and go to Bard and participate in that
extraordinary event. I urge you to go there and be there with me and
with many hundreds of other souls in the vanguard. Go there and be
there for this defining experience. Go there and be there to
announce and declare, express and fulfill, become and experience who
you really are, and who you now choose to be. Go there and be there
for the joy, the love and the fun!

The event will feature nearly two dozen outstanding presenters, who
will give fascinating talks, participate in enlivening panel
discussions, lead interactive seminars and facilitate collaborative
workshops. It will be a wonderful experience of spiritual education!

There will also be rooms for Humanity's Teammates to network, share
information, tell others about Humanity's Team, and simply be with
each other.

We'll also have storytelling from many of the world's sacred
traditions, a puppet show depicting the parable of "The Little Soul
and the Sun," special screenings of award-winning films depicting
the changing religious and spiritual climate, a live production of a
critically acclaimed religious drama, inspiring sculptures and
paintings of scriptural figures and spiritual expression, and an
outdoor multifaith prayer service.

In addition, we're honored to have this event also be the site of a
special meeting of the Spiritual Caucus at the United Nations, which
will discuss the U.N.'s evolving role in the world as the New
Spirituality emerges around the globe.

What would a Humanity's Team event be without music!

Every night we'll also have uplifting performances by award-winning
musicians, including the spiritually healing British ensemble Bliss,
which many of you may remember gave stunning performances at the
2003 Humanity's Team Gathering in Portland, Oregon; Emmy Award-
winning singer-songwriter Faith Rivera and her "Standing as One"
colleagues, who will spread the New Spirituality through their
incomparable music and inspiring oneness energy; and Grammy Award
winners Jay Unger and Molly Mason, who will create a spiritually
enlivening "Welcome to America!" concert on opening night, drawing
from such stirring American musical styles as 19th century classics,
Appalachian, country and swing. Other surprise performers are
planned.

In addition, there will be places on campus to meditate and to
exercise; a special expo area, where you can browse, buy merchandise
and learn about the products, services and ideas of businesses,
organizations and individuals aligned with the New Spirituality; and
a bookstore and gift shop in which you can buy books, CDs and other
works of the presenters, as well as souvenirs of this enlightening
weekend.

Look at the Web site. See the richness. Envision the possibilities.
Imagine your experience. And please join us there.

Logon to http://www.gathering.humanitysteam.org to spread joy, share
love and have fun!

The registration fee is being discounted through April 15. The cost
to experience all that I described is only $460, including all
meals, for all three days. This is $190 less than the $650 price
that the conference will cost after April 15. There are discounts
for groups of three or more -- the bigger the group, the larger the
discount! Affordable sleeping accommodations on campus are also
available.

You can save $150 more by volunteering to work during the conference
that weekend! And you can apply for a partial scholarship to offset
expenses even further.

To apply for a volunteer position, write to Carolyn Bonnington, the
conference volunteer coordinator, at cbonning@.... To request a
scholarship application, logon to
http://www.humanitysteam.org/gathering/contact.html and click
on "Scholarship Application." Please know that the number of
volunteer and scholarship opportunities is limited.

This weekend is about waking up, getting what's going on and sharing
it. It's about living your life in a new way, with intention and
purpose and clarity and more fun than you ever thought possible.

I earnestly believe it will be a weekend that we will look back on
as a peak moment in our lives, and that others will agree was a
decisive moment in humanity's progress toward the promise of the New
Spirituality.

May God's blessings be expressed through you...

Neale
