The Genius of Women
Featuring Suzanne Baars, Suzanne Fowler, and Lynn Cooper
Repeatedly in her writings St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, Edith
Stein, talks about spiritual motherhood, that quality of the female
person to be a conduit of grace in the world she inhabits. In
today's program, we will meet three women who have explored this
dimension of femininity in and through the experiences of their
lives – two as wives and mothers, one in the single state, and all
three as professional women with careers outside of the home. They
will share with us their insights on what it means to be a woman of
grace.

As the new version of _Feeling
& Healing Your Emotions_ (Baars, 2003) is about to be printed,
it brings up an idea for getting books to those who need them. A number of
people have told me that they can’t afford books and they have had
difficulty finding copies through inter-library loan.
I am setting up two email addresses. One is if you have a
library in need and would like someone to donate a book to it. The other is for
people who would be interested in donating a book for a library in need.
I just need to know what you are willing to donate (either
names of books or approximate amount of money you are willing to spend).
I will match you up with a LIBRARY name (not a person’s
name) so that you can send a book(s) there. I just ask that you send an email
of follow-up saying that you have indeed sent a book (and which book you sent) so
we can cross that library off our list.
(I do NOT need your name, address or phone number.)
Suzanne Baars will be featured on two new upcoming shows on EWTN’s
“Living His Life Abundantly” show with Johnnette Benkovic.
These shows are on abuse and are set to air the weeks of Oct. 12 and

PM, Tuesday at 2 PM and Thursday at 10 AM – EASTERN TIME. Please check
local listings for times. As always, VHS tapes will be available through www.LHLA.org
Suzanne Baars gave an interview to Canticle Magazine this
summer. It was just published in their Summer 2003 issue. I think you will find
it an excellent and easy to read article about the emotional life. I hope you
can all get a copy!
Canticle magazine is now run by Johnnette Benkovic’s “Women
of Grace” ministry. Find out about Women of Grace at www.womenofgrace.com or 1-800-558-5452. The magazine and back issues can
be ordered through them.
Also, remember the conference in Doylestown, Pennsylvania
this October 3-5! Suzanne Baars will be one of the speakers. You can find out
more information about it at the above website address.
Just a quick update on Born Only Once. Copies are once again being shipped by the publisher, but the printer raised the price to $6.00 per copy. The website reflects this change, but some of you have order forms with the old price on it. Please change the amount on the order form before sending. Thanks!

GOOD NEWS!
_Healing the Unaffirmed_ (Baars & Terruwe, 2002) has been edited, revised
and reprinted!!!
Michael Baars expects to be able to start filling orders for the book
around November 1st. The cost of the new edition is $12.95. See
http://www.conradbaars.com/page_3.htm for ordering details.
I highly recommend the book to everyone -- even if you have the "original"
version. The biggest change, of course, is "deprivation neurosis" is now
being called "emotional deprivation disorder" so that it is compatible with
language in the DSM (_Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental
Disorders_, American Psychiatric Association, 2000)." Our hope is that one
day this disorder will be included in the DSM.
Blessings,
Bonnie
(By the way, you might want to consider donating a book to your local
library too -- or suggest that they buy it for their collections. That would
be a wonderful way to spread the word and bring hope and healing to many!
_Born Only Once_ would be a wonderful addition to any library too!)

"Come to Me" in San Antonio, Texas on
July 26, 2002.
