Because I was so interested in this post, I called the Child
Diagnostic Clinic to get more info. For those of you who are
interested:
It is a 2 day appointment. Day 1 is when the parents and child
meet with the team of 6 specialists from 7:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. (1/2
hour with each specialist plus breaks). Day 2 is a 60 minute
appointment with only the parents and Dr. Klein who will review the
individual notes/reports from all specialists from the previous day.
Approximately 2 weeks after the 2-day appointment, you will
receive a 15-30 page report that outlines the diagnosis(es) and
suggested treatment plan.
HOWEVER, IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE!!!! I was given an estimate of $2,200,
and that's with our health insurance covering a small portion of it.
So, just some food for thought for anyone who is thinking about this.

Morton at Carle. Carle has a Child Diagnostic Clinic which is
directed by pscychologist Dr. Andrea Klein, Ph.D., ABPP. This is a
multidisciplinary group where your child can be seen by Dr. Klein as
well as Dr. Morton, speech pathologist, occupational therapist,
audiologist, social worker and psychometrist. As a group, they then
provide a diagnosis and develop a comprehensive plan for home and
school as well as appropriate therapies and services.
