Re: [crohns_n_colitis] Perineal/Perirectal Irritation

i tend to have the same irritation and i find that using a wet wipe helps keep some of this from occuring i make sure that ther is cery little alcohol in them as well as they must have aloe which helps to sooth some of the burning and irritation as well as the only over the counter cream that helps for me is the sudocrem.  My dr also said that if i am unable to control the pain and irritaion there is creams he can prescribe for me.  hope this helps some,  i dont wait for the irritaion to start i use the wipes daily and only the cream when needed.

Subject: [crohns_n_colitis] Perineal/Perirectal Irritation

Hi, I have Crohn's, and am often bothered by perineal and/or perirectal irritation, itching, and pain. Sometimes it hurts to walk. I am trying collodial oatmeal as well as epson salts, baking soda baths. Am also trying various daiper creams, but not much luck thus far.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I use Tucks medicated pads.  I don't use the pad as a wipe, I stick the pad  (I have no other way of saying this) between my butt cheeks and leave it...
