Perineal/Perirectal Irritation   Message List

Hi, I have Crohn's, and am often bothered by perineal and/or perirectal
irritation, itching, and pain. Sometimes it hurts to walk. I am trying
collodial oatmeal as well as epson salts, baking soda baths. Am also trying
various daiper creams, but not much luck thus far.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

i tend to have the same irritation and i find that using a wet wipe helps keep some of this from occuring i make sure that ther is cery little alcohol in them...

April, thanks very much for your suggestions. I do use a variety of diaper wipes, including what some authors have suggested, wetted, very soft toilet paper....

I use Tucks medicated pads.  I don't use the pad as a wipe, I stick the pad  (I have no other way of saying this) between my butt cheeks and leave it...
