I knowjust for my colitis i cant eat anything fatty i dont absorb fats well to begin with, so i am on a strict diet but sometimes if i cheat with my diet i can get a falre of pain. but i know they say if you over eat this can cause some pain or if you eat fatty foods or deep fried foods this can cause some pain. I had an infection of the gallbladder which put me in the hospital
which led to the ultrasound which diagnosed the polyp which then led to the ct scan and the mri and the hyda scan. still waiting on the results of the mri so we will see wht teh surgeon will say but i think i am going to ask to have it removed. anyway hope some of this helps. let meknow what happens.

I had a painful episode that sent me to the ER a month and a half ago and that was what led to the ultrasound that diagnosed the polyp. I don't meet with the surgeon for another two weeks so I'm not sure what their opinion will be about removing the gallbladder. Is there any specific food that you eat or avoid to avoid a gallbladder attack? Sometimes I am so fearful to eat because I don't know how my body will react. Thanks for the reply!Kelly

I have had 2 really bad gallbladder attacks and he still doesnt wat to do surgery because of the colitis. not sure why but that is the only reason he gave me. let me know what you think.April----- Original Message -----From: kellyvthokie2000Sent: Wednesday, April 01, 2009 8:03 AMSubject: [crohns_n_colitis] Gallbladder removal surgeryHi!
I have ulcerative colitis, but it is in remission through Asacol and was just found to have a polyp in my gallbladder. I was wondering if anyone else has any experience here. I'll have to decide whether or not to have the surgery and how it might affect me in the future.
Thanks
