I have had Ulcerative Colitis since I was nine yrs old I am almost 39.
I have been very sick this past summer and maxed out on my Asacol and
Entocort and Prednisone is just not a choice for me as I go nuts on it
(litterally it causes me to act like I am bipolar). So the doctors say
that due to the colon cancer risks and the fact I don't respond well
to alot of meds their hands are tied and they are going to take my
colon out. They said I will have an ostomy for 3-6 months and then be
resectioned. I am also diabetic and on an Insulin pump and have PTSD
(Post traumatic stress disoder) as am a severe child abuse survivor.
Is there anyone in this group that can try and calm me down about what
is about to happen to me. I feel like a freak already.
