It was trial and error at that point I just kept adding for about 6months or so.  But that is only because Ascocol worked for me from the get go.  If you have been on it for weeks and are still not seeing any results at all I would definately ask for something else.  If it is Chrons you may want to ask about Remicade.  It is an infusion drug so kind of pricy for those of us who are young and don't have the greatest insurance in the whole world but it is wonderful. I would say if you didn't feel at least a bit better in a week, giving it time to do its thing, then ask for a different med soon.
