Hi folks,
I have been recently diagnosed with UC, but they are still not sure
whether it is UC or Crohn's. My question is regarding how long it
takes for these drug treatments to become effective.

I was diagnosed at the end of October 2004 and was placed on
Asacol. After eight weeks of Asacol, my situation was not at all
improved and was in fact worse. Diarrehea was more frequent with no
normal bowel movements at all.

I was then placed on EntoCort and Asacol for two weeks but also no
improvement.

I am now on Prednisone, 60MG per day and Colazal (6.25MG per day).
This has been the case for one week, but no improvement whatsoever.
Does anyone else have any experience with this regimen and how long
should it take to work?
