Thanks Amy and Terry,
I appreciate your thoughts. I am on a few other meds - Asacol, which
I take during remission and generally don't have any severe side
effects - but due to the dose of Pred giving me a bad case of
indigestion and nausea, my doc put me on Protonix. I checked it out
today - and it does have a listed side effect of skin rash!!
I do hope this rash goes away - I think it is very noticeable, and
since I teach and do a lot of "hands on" activity (literally), I
don't want my students to see it...
I will (hopefully) be weaning off the Pred a bit more tomorrow... the
side effects I've had this time are much worse than the last episode
(about 3 years ago), but I am on a signifantly higher dose this time.
I'll let you know how it goes...
Thanks again,
Aimee

The rash I got was caused from a sun sensitivity due to the
prednisone, at least thats the diagnosis I was given. Mine went away
once I was off the pred & I still have a hard time in the sun when
I'm on it.

help some. Cortisone cream may help as well, but best for the doc to
prescribe, as it could be from something else.

effects, but at least they fade and eventually they never show up
again (if you take it long enough lol).

a great day.
