I use Tucks medicated pads.  I don't use the pad as a wipe, I stick the pad  (I have no other way of saying this) between my butt cheeks and leave it

April, thanks very much for your suggestions. I do use a variety of diaper wipes, including what some authors have suggested, wetted, very soft toilet paper.

i tend to have the same irritation and i find that using a wet wipe helps keep some of this from occuring i make sure that ther is cery little alcohol in them
