Hi Jennifer!
Insurance Billing is an entire job in and of itself.
Best solution is to hire an aaccountant or bookkeeper who is doing that for
others and have them include you.
The OJT (on the job training) for all the requirements can be overwhelming and
keep you from having a positive career experience.
Best of luck

Hello,
I'm an LMT in Oregon practicing CranioSacral Therapy. I've been
accepting cash and credit cards only from clients but I've recently had
some clients asking for insurance billing or reimbursement. I'm told
that auto accident billing is pretty easy for massage therapists in
Oregon and many medical insurance policies cover massage.
So far, it seems my choices are to get software to do insurance billing
for massage, give superbills to clients with notes so they can file for
reimbursement, or forward superbills and notes to someone to do billing
for me.
My questions are about how CST would be different that Swedish/deep
tissue for billing. What codes does an MD need to use to prescribe
CST? What format and information do I need to include in chart notes
in order for insurance to pay?
Any other advice about insurance billing is appreciated.
Thank you & abundant blessings, Jennifer
