Hi to all my CPK friends!

I have missed being in communication with all of you. I am living in Southern
California now and I love it. I am in the process of opening a practice near
Los Angeles. I had been doing alot of mobile work (which I still do). My
primary location is in Thousand Oaks (suburb and about 30 minutes from LA) but I
have been making alot of contacts all over the place and have several locations
from which I can see patients.

A few people who love CPK have found me out here. I even had a patient move out
here after he found out that I was moving from Texas so that he could continue
to get treatment, Now THAT is loyalty!

I am learning how to market myself all over again. I was certainly spoiled in
Texas with an all referral practice! I hope to spoiled that way again soon!

A friend here told me about a service here called Public Access TV. They have
classes that you can attend (free I think) on all phases of producing a tv
program. Once you attend the classes you can record your own program at the
public studio and have it aired on public access tv. It is my understanding
that all cable networks are required to provide this service and it is public
funded. Anyway, it is a good way to get in the media and then you also have a
DVD that you can make from the program and sell or give as a marketing tool. I
did a search on the name of the city that I live in and public access tv, and
found the information and details on it. You just can't sell product, but you
can educate about services I believe.

I am in the process of introducing CPK to several producers. The
"hollywood" group is an interesting bunch. Generally, so far my observations
are that they need some updating as to what is actually healthy...they are into
starvation diets, very low or no fat and hi intensity hours of cardio. And they
seem to play follow the leader when it comes to seeing certain doctors, etc. I
have some work to do there. They are certainly a high stress bunch as well.

I had talked to another CPK doc who was moving out here, but I lost track of
him. Anybody know him, I'd love to reconnect with him. Unfortunately I forgot
his name and lost his number.

I love it here in Cali. I am looking forward to reconnecting with all of you!

Hi Dr. Knight,

Great to hear from you! Thanks for updating us as to your whereabouts. If you have a minute, please send along your contact information so we can keep the CPK records updated.

I wish you all the best in California, and hope your practice does great!
