Description

This low volume email list provides announcements from the CpG ImmunoPharmaceuticals company.
CpG ImmunoPharmaceuticals (CpG) is developing innovative therapeutic and prophylactic products that stimulate the immune
system to treat cancer, infectious diseases, allergy and asthma and help protect against opportunistic infections after cancer
chemotherapies. The Company's products are based on CpG DNA™, a novel technology that promotes white blood cell
proliferation and rapidly activates both cellular and humoral immune responses. Discovered in 1994 by Dr. Arthur M. Krieg,
Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of CpG, this innovative technology is protected by the Company's extensive patent portfolio.

To date, CpG researchers and collaborators have published over 50 research papers on CpG DNA™ and its applications, have
confirmed the efficacy and safety of CpG DNA™-based products in animal models and have developed and optimized CpG
DNA™ sequences for use in humans. CpG expects to initiate at least six Phase I/II clinical trials for its lead products in 1999,
starting with a hepatitis B trial now underway.
