Being a survivor of covert incest, I have had great difficulty finding a place on the net where I can connect with others who have gone through similar experiences. Although I have been to numerous websites dedicated to sexual abuse, they tend to cater to those who have experienced rape or other forms of overt sexual abuse.

Recently, when I went to Google and did a search on covert incest, I was alarmed to find sites where parents claimed it was nonsense, comparing it to rebirthing and false memory syndrome. There was even one who envisioned a day when people would shake their heads in disgust at covert incest as we do when we read about the Salem Witch Trials today.

Realizing that survivors of covert incest needed a place of their own, I decided to create this site. I would like this to be a safe and secure environment where we can share our personal experiences, as well as discuss how covert incest is often portrayed as something favorable in literature, Hollywood, and the media.
