Hello,

I have been experimenting for the last month with exercises, slowly increasing
the intensity of the workouts.
I start with stretching (10 min), tai chi movements (10 min), slow speed jogging
about 1 km, 30 (2x15) push-ups and 30 (2x15) sit-ups, breathing exercises (5
min), yoga (5 min). About 45 minutes for the total workout.
I have started with much less intensity and I was able to do only 1-2 sit-ups at
the beginning. Since my pain started I have not done any abdominal work, so
right now I have very sore AB muscles.
My pain is mostly in the abdominal area and lower ribs and builds after sitting.
I will include 30 min swimming workouts (I used to be a competitive swimmer) 2-3
times a week.
I have not noticed any significant changes in my pain, which is good because I
do not want to make things worst. But I also can not live with this pain without
at least trying to get rid off it.
I know that with workouts the ligaments become stronger, for example the wrist
becomes larger. Having well conditioned muscles would not be bad as well.
Somehow I can not imagine somebody with a well defined
six packs AB muscles and a chronic abdominal pain. I trained most of my life, so
the last 3 years have been a nightmare.
I do not expect to be doing full-contact sparing again, but at least to leave
without the pain. Is this so much to ask?

Has anybody in the group tried this approach before? I am going to hurt myself?

Vlad
