Megan:
I'm with you on the exercise thing-did it & it didn't do nothing. I not the
typical tuck patient as I am 56 yrs old and semi-retired. Since I had some
wound break down (yes, it does happen for no reason at all), I have had a longer
recuperation time. You may return to work a couple of weeks after surgery but
you are still limited as to lifting and doing strenuous activities. I wore that
hateful binder for 8 weeks ( day & night ). My energy returned gradually along
with my interest in sex. I must admit I was surprised at the intensity of the
pain but meds controlled the discomfort. Now at my 3 month point and alot of
healing has occurred, I feel like the old me but flatter. There is still a bit
of swelling but nothing like the immediate post-op I had for the first 2-3
weeks. You will heal & progress at your own rate but realize the surgery is
major especially with lipo. Stay in touch.

Debbie,Amy,Barb!
I am having a nervous day! I have a few post tummy tuck questions.
First and foremost how did you pay for it?
Second post-tt when did you go back to work? I am trying to figure
out the time frame. I don't really want to be out for 12 weeks.
When did you start to drive again, and feel like having sex? I am
having some lipo done at the same time but am aprehensive right now.
The lipo will be done on the love handles (upper butt?) I figured
while having a flat stomach will be wonderful, getting rid of the
extra fat on my hips would inhance the waist as well.
I am feeling horribly nervous anixous and fear the unkown greatly.
I keep thinking what do I expect from this? How will my life be
changed from this.. Why do I need to spend all this money? I mean I
have been sick of my gut, protruding belly since I was seventeen. I
have two sisters who have flat stomachs, but I take after our Mother
who has the protrouding belly too.
I don't have much support from my husband, who thinks I should just
exercise. No matter how much weight I loose it is still there. He
thinks it is a huge waste of money. His theory is that if he spent
all this money on his hair he would still look ugly? I don't know
how that applies to me. I think overall that my stomach is my only
real flaw. lol I mean if I had all the money in the world I would do
the eye lids too. But that is not a huge concern of mine.
I am feeling a little nervous, ambivilent and anxious to day.
Any thoughs would be helpful!Thanks,
Megan
