Hello Everyone!
I'm Sherry from Dallas and I'd love to hear from all of you who have
had a PANNECULECTOMY (or ABDOMINOPLASTY) as I'm having a Pann. on
March 13th.
Let me explain a little as to why I'm having the "Pann." instead of
the Abdominoplasty...
June 13, 2008 I had a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy. While they were
in there they discovered I have excessive nerve damage and the
internal fat cells are literally dead due to c-sections. They knew I
was interested in having Abdominoplasty and wanted it done at the
same time, if possible, so after finding the problems they went ahead
and tightened up all my muscles for me.
They would have completed the Abdominoplasty during my Hyst, but it
ended up being 5-1/2 hours long due to excessive adhesions, they
found a softball-sized Ovarian Cyst on my left ovary, and they had to
reconstruct my right ovary (it ruptured June 2007 with Ovarian Cysts)
to keep it so my hormones wouldn't mess all up.
So, long story short, I will be having Abdominoplasty in 2 steps.
LOL!
However, this surgery is being called "Panneculectomy" since it is
just the removal of the tissue since the muscles have already been
tightened. They also said they're not sure how much contouring will
have to be done until they get in there (and they have to be careful
what all they say for insurance purposes cosmetic vs medical need).
So, I would love to hear from everyone who has had this procedure,
please.
Thanks!
