Yes, the scars are the downside, but honestly, they are geting lighter
and hopefully will continue to do so, and the scaring in mostly on the "inside "
of the arm which lays against me. My scar extends about 4 " below my elbow
as the skin hung down that far, not all will have to go that far. I
am SO glad I had it done, my arms hung so bad they were causing some of my
shoulder problems, as I would have to kind of move my arms out away from my body
because they "drug" when I moved my arms back and forth. I am very glad I had it
done and I like looking at my arms. Before they were like an ad (probably mostly
in my head) that I had been very fat . It needs to be your decision, but I would
do it again. ...and I am 60 now and starting a new part of my life with energy
and a more positive outlook about life and myself.
good wishes Luci

It is amazing what a difference getting the weight off can make in
your life. I actually went to the plastic surgeon's office to
inquire about the brachioplasty. My arms are by far my worst part.
I got scared of the scarring I was seeing in the after pictures, and
I decided against it. How did it work for you? After I get this
part finished, that will probably what I explore more next. I am 35,
and I also feel like I have been given a second chance at life. I
can do things now that I haven't done since college. Thank you for
kind words!

brachioplasty with major hernia repair last November. I am so
very happy I had it done. I feel so good about ME throught this whole
journey and am now looking forward to havine breast red/lift next
month. I am 60 years young and have my life back. I couldn't even
walk to the mailbox before all this and this weekend I built a garden
and moved 2 cu yards of dirt by myself and have the garden ready
to go. First weekend in May I did 42 miles on my bicycle with a
group-it is so wonderful having my life back, having energy
and feeling so much better about myself. Yes, it is a daily
commitment to doing what is right, but so worth it.

say is, if you haven't done it yet, get something for
constipation NOW-before you do anything else. The meds
will play& nbsp; with your system, don't be afraid to take your
pain meds right after-stay ahead of the pain, don't wait for it to
get bad, walk when you can, drink lots of water, and CAN YOU SAY
PROTEIN!!!-very crucial to healing. Keep those levels hight.
