Hi!
My name is Sheryl and I just joined the group today. My tummy
was severely destroyed with my 2nd child and I have a very small
umbilical hernia from my 1st pregnancy. I have consulted with 3 ps
so far regarding getting a TT in the fall. Here's what I'm confused
about. The 2nd surgeon said he might not fix my hernia with the TT
because the belly button could die due to not enough blood for
healing. He said I could get it fixed 6 months afterward, which
would mean a new scar on my new belly. My 3rd PS said that the
belly button dying would never happen so I am confused as to who to
believe. ALSO, I have an outie because of the hernia (I think)
whereas before having babies I had a nice innie. The second doctor
said he didn't know what he could do with my belly button and the
3rd doctor said she might have to make me a new one. This confuses
me. If they fix the hernia and tighten me up, why can't I have an
innie again. The 3rd PS said she might have to make me a new belly
button whatever that means. Please help clarify some of these issue
with me for those who have advice.
