Hi Cathy,
Oh no, it's not dark at all. The scar is a real fine
line now. Unless someone knew I had a relocated
bellybutton from a TT, I doubt anyone would even
notice. It healed much better than my TT scar. My
TT scar is still pink but I think it's getting
fainter. I think I mentioned even my toe has a big
ropy scar (broke & dislocated my toe last year and had
surgery to put a pin in). So it's all how your body
heals. I have seen other TT pics where you can barely
see the scar. There are also scar products like
silicone sheets you put on them that are supposed to
help, but I didn't use any of those. I tried creams
and stuff, but those didn't help, then just figured no
one sees the scar, and my husband doesn't mind, so
that's just the way I will remain.
Why does the scar freak your husband out? It's just a
scar. What about people who have really gross
cesaerean section scars? I think those are much worse
(they always seem to pucker a lot more .. probably
because they aren't sewn up by a plastic surgeon, but
just an OB). I will see if I can get either my
husband or kids to take a pic of mine now and I will
send it to you.
