Hi margaret,
apparently the weight of the breast can cause the
incision to not close. I thought I was the only one,
but from a different message board I went to i found
it was pretty common. Not to fret ... it eventually
closes up. I kept putting polysporin on it but that
was leaving it too moist and it wouldn't heal. The
wet/dry bandaging method worked. When the gauze that
had been wet with the sterile saline dried, it helped
the skin to close up. I would let the bandage fall
off in the shower instead of pulling it off (because
it gets stuck!) and i saw an improvement over the
days.
