There are many types of abdominoplasty and minituck surgery.
Each has its own use depending on the problem to be solved.
Minituck abdominoplasty is sculpture of the tummy for problems
that require less skin sculpture as seen here:

It differs from full abdominoplasty in that it can correct less loose
skin.

Mini-tuck abdominoplasty can include muscle repair, it depends
on the type of mini-tuck. Repair of the muscle below the belly
button is easier. Repair over the belly button requires working
around this attachment of the skin to the muscles. If there is
looseness above the belly button that is not addressed, the
stomach looks strange.
Such issues are best explored during a consultation after an
evaluation.
