Basically what you said is it though. You french braid the hair with
extension hair and instead of picking up all the hair as you braid, you release
pieces of the extension hair to create a full head of weave. Also I would
recommend you go to your local library or order some videos on tree-braids to
see it
done visually, or if you can practice on someone elses head(or mannequin) or
have someone show you how its done.
