It's okay to flat iron her hair on occasion, but not all the time because kids
don't really know that they could damage their hair. One thing you have to
think about will she be swimming, the heat will sweat her hair our and it won't
last. AND PLEASE DO NOT PERM HER HAIR. the best thing for the young one is
braids, this will grow out her hair soooo much, and when she gets older, she'll
be more mature and it won't be a waste of your money.

How early can you safely use these to temporarily straighten the hair? I
mean age-wise btw LOL
I've had a rough morning with D, who is dying to have straight hair, and I'm
ready to REALLY give it to her. I have the name of a good stylist, highly
reccommended by J's preschool teacher, who has been going to her since she
was 9. My mom, who is a cosmetologist, but only has experience with
caucasian hair says that 6 is too young, and all her hair is going to end up
breaking off, and that no reputable stylist would touch it to do that.
I'd love to hear others thoughts and opinions.
