Anyway...Posting has been a bit slow around here lately, which is
understandable since I've been up to my ears in work and home life
concerns. We had a problem with school transportation for awhile,
plus there was Shavu'ot and Ramadan and Eid, and now a short break
before the expats here start celebrating Hallowe'en and Thanksgiving.

...and you know, Christmas here in Haifa basically lasts almost a
month. In there somewhere will be Chanukah which coincides with
alot of folks finishing IDF service, and the break between
semesters. I warn my students in advance that this season is a
sacred time of working and partying (and cooking and partying and
working and cooking and partying) for me. LOL!

It's great having a wide diversity of cultures here. It's why I
think Haifa's the best city in the country.

In light of my heavy schedule, there will be some slowness in
grading assignments and quizzes and such, so I give deep discounts
in the course fees. If you've been delaying in taking the courses
because of the price, this is the time to go on and take them.

Whether or not you're taking the courses, we have a good sized
community at Cornrows.co.uk. There are some changes y'all will want
to be aware of though.

Unfortunately due to spammers, membership in the blog/news area of
the site is no longer automatic. If you want to join, write me at
webmatron@... directly so I can create your
membership.

At the moment, the forums are still user activated, but that will
change too if spam becomes a problem.

I also want to make it clear that we do not consider a tasteful
amount of self and site promotion to be spam. If you have a beauty,
hair, or culture related site with actual content that isn't
recycled stock articles and ads or something, you are welcome. If
you're affiliating with Google Adsense, Yahoo ads, or Amazon.com
affiliates, even better. We definitely want to raise the search
profile of each other's sites for our topics above the unreal sites.

You should also know that the photo gallery at Cornrows.co.uk has
been updated and repaired. So upload your photos so folks can see
the possibilities and your talent. There are more than just
sections for cornrows there. If you have cool art and crafts, we
want to see that too.
