Although I usually get strange reactions, I totally agree that Meniere's is a life threatening disease. I also believe we need the right spokes person. I work in the braodcasting media ad have been working (as I can) on researching celebrities that have MM (past and present) as well as national/international statistics. If anyone has any information I can use in this endeavor, please forward it along.

In my humble opinion Meniere's is absolutely a life threatening disease. While possible to go months or years w/o an attack many of us do suffer every day. It's a shame we don't have a celebrity sponsor. Unfortunately thats what it will probably take to giveMM the publicity it deserves. That or God forbid a horrible accident being caused by someone having anMM attack after years of being in remission. Of course that is likely to become a witch hunt on us.Excellent suggestion about the motorized wheel chair carts when shopping! I was in Target just theother day and thought about getting one but was afraid because I didn't "look disabled."I would get funny looks.I think the vertigo I sometimes get in stores has something to do with the wideness of the aislesand the uber bright flourescent lights. It's kind of like when I was a little girl taking ballet and couldn'tpirouette in a straight line. Those big stores make me feel like I have lost my self in space.Patsy
