Hi and welcome to both of you! (Just a shame we meet under these circumstances!)

My name is Carin, I’m 23 years old and I’m from Johannesburg (South Africa). I’ve suffered from MM for the last four years or so nonstop, but was only diagnosed at the beginning of ’09. I’m also one of the not-so-lucky ones that get migraines along with the attacks… hope that doesn’t happen to either of you?!

But I am one of the lucky ones in that I can still work full-time – I’m a language practitioner - (and my work is very understanding of my illness) and I’m doing my Masters part-time (though some days are easier than others as you well know!)

Brenda – what work do you do in the hospital? My sister is a ICU sister and I always like to hear from other people that work in the same environment J

Wayne – keep your chin up – I had a stint at the end of 08 and beginning of 09 where the MM just became worse and worse. Then I found the right meds for me and now I’m up and about again. Well, as much as you can be… J
