very lucky to have been diagnosed so quickly. I had symptoms for over two and
half years and saw every specialist that my PCP could think of and finally got
diagnosed, because i thought i had a ear infection that wouldn't go away, not
knowing it was the fullness that is caused by Menieres. i got diagnosed on a
fluck, and now i can't find a specialist, mine is retiring. Anyway i am 34 I
was diagnosed last march and have learned so much from this wonderful group of
people. Welcome!

I have to say that first attack was probably the scariest experience I have ever
had. I was at work (luckily in a hospital) and everything started to spin. Then
came the sweating from head to toe and finally the never ending vomiting. I
didn't know what was going on with me. I thought things like "is this what a
heart attack feels like?" "am I going to die?" I really just didn't have a clue
as to why the spinning wouldn't stop. After being in the ER for over 5 hours,
they sent me home with meds and an appointment with an ENT doctor. You know the
rest after that.

community of people that have the same disease I have will help.
