I agree with you. I was diagnosed 2 years ago and am currently not receiving
any treatment. I am in pain daily and am only 38 years old. I have been a
Clerk Typist with the state of PA for 17 years and I feel like going on
Disability Retirement. The more I read about the disease, the more depressed I
get. It seems like it is a losing battle and I'm not sure if my ailments are
caused by it or something else since I have other health problems.

I found this site last week and thought it was a good thing. I was
diagnoised with MCTD in Marach 03. I have noticed that the site is
not used very much, is it because we are all healed or, have we no
need to talk about it anymore? More and more people are hearing about
this disease and we need to keep in touch not just for support of
each other but to educate others after us.

We need to communicate to each other amc new information we may have,
sharing may help someone else. I personally need to talk to someone
who can relate to what I am experiencing.

I just learned that I have two cousins with the same disease.

Let us use this site to our advantage and communicate with people
about what we have in common. Talking about something does not make
it go away but what it can do is raise awareness. Research is needed,
let us not be quiet about it.
