Re: Is it possible to quit alone?

Good Morning ;

Relapses suck !!! I have just AGAIN stopped for 3 weeks now.
I stopped 2 years ago for about 18 months. I read lots in that time mostly on
looking in the mirror selfhelp speritual kinda books, I attend 3 GA meetings in
that time. I'm on to a new book now, that may help you. You can check it out at
this site : http://www.hsperson.com/index.html it may help it may not.......
I'm on a journey of selfhelp and am the kinda of person that MUST know why I
gambled.

Good Luck

Jonathan

I came across your profile in the yahoo chat on CG. It doesnt seem
many people post there. I am a compulsive gambler, been in & out of
GA for over 10 years and just had a relapse. I am looking for
sommeone who I can correspond with-I think it may help, in addition
to going back to GA.

If you are still interested in helping fellow CG, email me back. Thnx.

trouble by gambling alone. I'm sure some people might have made it
cold turkey, but I don't know any of them because they would not have
attended any meetings (Gamblers Anonymous). So you never hear about
them. Quiting gambling is what you need to do, but what are the
reasons for it. Not only do you have to dwell on your gambling
losses, emotional problems occur. Do you feel good about yourself?
Have you left you wife and children alone just to go gambling? Have
you hurt them by not being around. If you have a wife with a
sympathetic ear talk to her now, tell her of your losses. You are
gambling on your future. Take care.
