Re: [Compulsive Gambling Recovery] I might have a problem gambling

Evening All:

I could not have said it better Ernie, best thing
you can do for a gambler is not lend him any money.
It seems to make us realize that the end is near and
we finally have to deal with it. G.A. can be a rough
road but well worth taking. As I fellow told me at
the first meeting I went to "until you put the shovel
down the hole will get deeper".

For your own health stop digging that hole. Look
ahead to one year from now where will you be if you do
not stop gambling, where will you be if you do stop.

I gambled for over 20 yrs and had total control ( so
I thought)and did not listen to advice. I have become
very spiritual since I have stopped gambling (NOT
Religious) it works for me, but does not work for
everyone. I faced my fears ( the ones that drove me to
gambling ) and as it turns out there was nothing to
fear?? My fears were only my thoughts of reactions of
others that never really came to be. Do what ever it
takes for you to stop. Gambling is not healthy for
the mind, body or soul.

As for your boyfriend I hope for you he also stops,
but he will not until he puts his shovel down. You
can be sure it's not you thats going to put it down
for him. We have to do it for ourselfs.

Love and Luck to Everyone
Jonathan
