I have been doing research on our plight here on the internet and
came across what is referred to as the Pill. I came across a
treatment facility that has in-Patient (commiting our sorry butts)
and treatment. But it is on the west coast.
www.lostbet.com/pages/Celexa%20Press%20Release.htm
That is the url to the place and they talk about our depression and
cures. I looked up the manufacture of the drug Celexa and and came
up with the url www.celexa.com/default.asp . They talk about a
brain disorder of ours with regards to serotonin reuptake. We have a
deficiency in our diet that our brain is lacking to produce this
hormone. I did further research and found that this is a lack of
vitamin B6. In other words: WE ARE NOT FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS. As
if you needed me to point this out. DUH!
I am going to try a vitamin treatment and see if this works. I am
also looking into a treatment with a shrink here in Reno that
specializes in Addiction. I came across only one shrink that
specializes in addiction and he uses Celexa as a treatment. Celexa
helps produce that hormone. John Nelson Chappel MD

RENO, NV 89503 1-775-784-4917. I never relized it before but after I
stopped taking vitamins 20 years ago I started doing this crazy crap
called gambling. I dont believe vitamins are the total answer but it
is a start and therapy is a plus.
I also took a survey they gave and relized I am screwed but not
totally.
Survey Results
Preliminary survey results have yielded the following statistics:
Most responders came from New York or Texas, and were the gambler
himself/herself. 54% of responders were men, 31% had gambled in the
past 24 hours, 38% gamble 2-5 times per week, with lottery, scratch-
offs and slots were the most common forms of gambling.
Average weekly losses were $1,270, with an average total gambling
debt of $27,700.
All respondants reported problems due to gambling including risk of
legal charges (46%), risk of bankruptcy (69%), fired/suspended from
work (38%), arguments with spouse (62%), isolation (77%),
separtion/divorce (38%), conflict with spouse (77%), and conflict
with family (77%).
These results underscore the importance of receiving treatment to
manage the effects of the addiction.
I am in this group.
Hope this helps anyone out there. And CRAP! Its snowing outside now.
