I am glad to see this group in here now. But I am not happy to see
that we have no chatroom in Yahoo messenger. At age 17 I went into
the Navy and got out when I was 21...that was in 1982...In 1982 I
moved to reno, nevada because that was where my mom, and siblings
were at. I met my then future wife there in 1982 and married her in
1983. I started gambling in 1983. I soon returned to the military
life to support a family and get away from the gambling state. Over
the years I found that I never did get rid of my compulsive behavior.
Running away to other states that do not gamble is not the answer. I
have found that out 20 years later 2 wives and a knock out drop dead
gorgeous girlfriend later. I am MESSED UP IN THE HEAD. Knowing this
screwed up behavior is destructive is the first step as I have been
told....But that still does not help stop it. I am begining to
believe ciggerettes are a key factor in anxiety and gambling. Just
one and do say one factor added into a pie of screwed up crap to make
us do the things we do. I am still working on a cure. Druggies and
Alcoholics have a detox center to help with this problem but as for
us screwed up people...welll! We need one. If anyone knows of a rehab
center for us screwed up people, PLEASE TELL ME!Anyway life goes on
and we all are going to work on it.
