Dear Dane County Community Organizations,
The Youth Service Day Planning Committee would like to invite you to
our yearly Youth Service Day, April 17, 2004. The Youth Service Day is
an event sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group and in-kind television
advertising provided by Charter Communications. The event's purpose is
to encourage youth to get involved with their community and develop a
more unified community. There were approximately 2,500 volunteers last year and this year we
aim to recruit many more! The Youth Service Day Planning Committee
organized by the United Way of Dane County and the Dane County Youth
Board will this year be joining efforts with students from MATC and the
Wisconsin Union Directorate-Community Services Committee's Community
Plunge.
We need your help in providing creative volunteer projects on April
17th! We encourage you to develop a volunteer activity geared for
students elementary through college aged and register your opportunity.
