Hello to all who requested raspberries,

I have dug the raspberries and they are ready to go. I left the full
canes attached, as they were not cut down last fall and already showing
signs of life...the existing canes may make it. If not, new shoots
should soon form from the rhizomes. Each plastic bag should contain 3-5
rhizomes, which may be seperated and planted a few feet apart, or left
as a clump and planted as is. Water liberally after planting.

Please come by CAC, 1717 N. Stoughton Rd. to pick up if you are on the
North side. They are placed under a semi-trailer we use for storage
near the rear of the building. There are 14 bags here. Or, stop by
Ben's house 1237 Spaight St. (Near Orton Park & Willy St. Co-Op) and
choose from the 10 bags in back of the house. They are partly under a
roll of rubber roofing to protect the roots from exposure to sunlight.
Or, make arrangements with me on a pick-up or drop off time and place.

**Please take only one bag per person, for now, as I have just about as
many bags as people who requested them. I may be able to go get more
for those who requested more.**

I am not an expert on these plants, but some of my family dug and
transplanted last year in late April and they were successful, so this
should work. Below is a link from UW-EX on growing raspberries in WI.

Thanks everyone for your interest and please let me know how you do!

Ben
