I am planning on digging some raspberry bushes this weekend,
and would like to offer them free to anyone who is interested in starting a
patch. These are “special” not because of their ability to
grow in outer space or anything amazing, but because they are part of a large
patch tended by my grandfather and uncle since 1991. Both Gramps and
Uncle Scott passed away in 2006 and I would be very happy to see their work live
on in years to come. We are preparing to sell the house, so this is a
one-time offer.
They are VERY prolific bushes; bearing large, flavorful, deep-red
fruit. I do not know the variety but are growing very well in Beaver Dam,
so would likely do well in the Madison
area.
Please respond to me by Friday with any requests. The
amount I can give each person depends on how many people respond, as there is
only so much room in the back of my Subaru.
Be well and happy, happy Spring,
