EXPLORING MENDOTA'S INDIAN MOUNDS

VOLUNTEER STEWARDS- WILDCRAFTING WITH HERBS CLASS
June 24, 9am-noon
Join us for this workshop and volunteer event in the Troy Gardens
native prairie and woodlands. Volunteer Stewards commit to six hours a
month of volunteer work in return for free classes in natural areas
management. Future classes include: prairie plant identification,
insect identification, prairie restoration, rain gardens, woodland
management, nighttime on the land, and winter tree and plant

URBAN FARM DAY FOR KIDS

Meet the chickens, visit the beehives, and hike the trails at Troy
Gardens! Kids of all ages are invited to join us for a day of fun
exploring our farm, community gardens, and native prairie and
woodlands. Admission is $5, but reduced rates are available for low-

VOLUNTEER PICNIC NIGHT- CREATING BERRY WINES CLASS
June 28, 4-7pm
Once a month we invite you to join us at Troy Gardens for an evening
of garden maintenance, a class on native and herbal plants use, and a
wonderful potluck. You can even stay out and camp under the stars!
Future classes include “Food and Medicine From the Prairie”, “Creating
Natural Dyes”, and “Summer in Winter: Drying Herbs and Growing Them
