Thought that some of you might be interested in these workshops…I’m planning on going to the fundraising one myself.  Let me know if anyone wants more info on the GLC.  I have been through it and it is a wonderful program and I would love share more with anyone who is interested…

The Grassroots Leadership College Intensive Workshop Series Presents:

 

How to Succeed at Fundraising and Maybe Even Like It

Sunday, April 23rd 1-5pm

 

With the guidance of fundraising professional Boris Frank, participants will

  • Learn basic principles to successfully establish or improve a development program
  • Leave the workshop with new ideas to implement
  • Leave with resources you can utilize to plan and implement a development program or fundraising idea

 

 

Newsletter Production Workshop and Idea Swap

April 27th and May 11th 6:30-9pm (2 part workshop)

 

Coordinated by East Isthmus Neighborhood Planning Council staff Rebecca Krantz and Pam Hathaway with an array of volunteers from a number of neighborhood newsletters this workshop will give participants the opportunity to

·       Share experiences and tips on successful newsletter production

·       Ask questions about all aspects of producing and neighborhood newsletter or newspaper

·       Collaborate with others across the community who are working on newsletters like yours

 

Workshop Logistics:

·       Cost $20/ workshop—scholarships are available on request

·       Childcare, snacks, and transportation assistance are also available at all workshops

·       April workshops are being held at Christ Presbyterian Church 944 E. Gorham St.
