Frances Moore Lappé is a noted author and agrofood activist, best known
for books such as Diet for a Small Planet, Food First, Hope's Edge: The Next
Diet for a Small Planet, and her newest book, this year's Democracy's
Edge: From the Dinner Table to the Front Page. She is also the
co-founder of Food First/Institute for Food and Development Policy. Few,
if any, have had more impact on discussions about food, agriculture,
environment,
and society in the past 30 years.
