visiting chefs from Mantova in the Willy Street Coop
Community Room for a demonstration and tasting on making risotto with pumpkin.
At the
You will find us “On the Square” Saturday AM
as we tour the Farmers
Market introducing our Mantovani guests to our local
producers and
their products. We’ll start our tour in front of
Harvest Restaurant
between 9:30AM and 10:00AM. We’ll be heading
clockwise and our group
will be easy to identify. Look for the snails!!
At
Slow Food members and
demonstration and tasting workshop at 9:30 AM-12:00 PM
Friday morning,
October 28th. MATC Culinary staff and students will host
our visiting
Mantovani chefs. The chefs will demonstrate traditional
fish recipes
and we’ll sample these dishes. We’ll also
discuss Slow Food’s Slow Fish
educational initiative. Please RSVP to
ensure that there is sufficient food and room during the
demonstration/tasting.
At the Madison Food and Wine Show
Join us as we welcome chefs and cooking instructors
Gilberto Venturini,
Marcella Cigognetti and Cecilia Paraluppi who are coming
to
lead two tasting laboratories at the Madison Food and Wine
Show.
Paired with
they will prepare and we will enjoy tastes of
Mantova’s and
local favorites.
Pasta and squash dishes will be featured at 5:00 PM
Saturday and rice
dishes at 3:00 PM Sunday. Each session will last 1 hour.
Reservations
are necessary as space is limited. The admission to the
taste
laboratories is covered by general admission to the show.
