Savor the Summer Festival at Troy Gardens
Date: Saturday, August 6, 10:00 am-4:00 pm
Location: Troy Gardens, northside of Madison
Cost: Free and open to everyone!
Come connect with nature without leaving the city of Madison with a full day of fun activities on the land at Troy Gardens’ annual Savor the Summer Festival. Learn about a thriving local food source on a tour of the CSA farm and community gardens, or experience rare native Wisconsin prairie and woodlands in our restored natural spaces. Listen to music by Bohemios Klan and “Spectak” West African Drumming group. Bring the kids for games, crafts, and face painting; enjoy story telling and songs by Clare Norelle & Book of Embraces for people of all ages. For the gourmets among you--sample the Mexican delicacy huitlacoche at the Huitlacoche Festival. Stop to smell the flowers or arrange and take home your own fresh or dried Troy Farm summer bouquet at the Flower Festival. For more information and a complete schedule of activity times contact info@... or (608) 240-0409, or see www.troygardens.org.
