Community Food and Garden Network Monthly Meeting:
Where: Troy Gardens, located on Madison's north side. From the Capitol take East Washington to Baldwin Aveune. Go left on Baldwin to East Johnson Street. Take East Johnson to Fordem. Fordem turns into North Sherman Avenue. Take North Sherman Avenue approximately 3 miles to Northport Drive. Go north on Northport Drive for about 1/2 mile. Just before Jungs Garden Supply on your left hand side is Troy Drive. Troy Gardens is on the 500 block of Troy Drive and you can't miss it! Parking is available on Troy Drive.
When: Thursday August 14th from 3:30 -5pm
Highlights: Tour and history of Troy Gardens by Executive Director Sharon Lezburg. Learn about their youth programs, CSA farm, prairie restoration project, and more. Laurel Norris, from the UW will guide us through the raised bed garden area and talk to us about the gardeners who use the beds.
