"Children deserve to be educated in places they can be proud of ..If children everywhere felt real pride in their schools, perhaps we could become at last the nation we ought to be...The aim of education is to provide children with a sense of purpose and a sense of possibility, and with skills and habits of thinking that will help them live in the world. A key way to learn these skills and habits is to learn how to eat well and how to eat right. " - Alice Waters, from remarks posted on the Edible Schoolyard website
Hear about some of the exciting youth gardening projects happening in our area, and get support for programs and projects you envision. Among those describing their programs will be Ken Swift from Lapham, Megan Cain from Troy Gardens and others.
To celebrate the upcoming holiday season, potluck snacks or garden gifts are welcome.
