Community Food and Garden Network meeting Monday August 16th from 3:30-5:00
Our August meeting will be packed full of information and discussion about:
*what presence we would like to have in the Food For Thought Festival
*if we will host a teacher training workshop, and a fall conference
*Plant-A-Row for the Hungry
*Portland Community Gardens raised beds and Memory Garden
*Program Updates
*Networking
*Eating yummy potluck food from participants
The meeting will be hosted by Al Klein who has a herb garden at his house.
Al lives about a mile up from Warner Park on the northeast side of Madison (very close to Troy Gardens ). Take East Washington Avenue/Hwy 151 east; turn left onto North 1st Street /Hwy 113 (by Savers); turn right onto East Johnson/Hwy 113. Continue on road for about two miles (it turns into Packers Avenue/Hwy 113). At the intersection of Hwy 113 and CV, take the bend to the left and continue on Hwy 113/Northport Drive. Drive past Warner Park on your left and Dane County Human Services on your right; at the next stop light, turn right onto
Kennedy Road . Al’s house is the second to the last house on the right, 4713 Kennedy Road . His phone number is 241-1792.
