In the St. Louis area, we continue to have heavy rainstorms & high
heat/humidity. So, my PTSD continues to be aggravated. The rain usually abates
by June but this year it continues. Bout the only good thing, for me, is that I
haven't had to water my lawn at all. LOL
So, same ole same ole, isolate, edgy, high alert, trouble sleeping,
irritable, strong intrusive thoughts of Nam actions, fear of getting close to
people, withdrawn, etc.. I did go to group today & being with the guys helped
some but I am sitting here just wondering if I will ever be able to handle my
PTSD better.
My VA counselor & shrink tell me that this level of PTSD is it, won't get any
better. I believe them & accept this diagnosis but damn, I sure wish I could
handle it better. :) Gets really tough sometimes.
