I was very, very pleased with this day and believe it was more representative of the work performed by the midwifes .... that I assisted the midwife with the IV and was given the honour of feeding the baby didn’t make it any worse ...:-)....

So glad you had a positive experience. Hang in there they do happen... and best of all when you a caregiver on your own you are able to create more and more of those experiences. I think in the health care profession you will always see..the other side..the way you really don't want to be..but then..you have a chance to make a difference. This is what keeps me going back to work in a community hospital L&D every weekend. I know my moms get the best I can give them in a flawed system.
