Terry Jennings, Welcome to the group! I'm a senior guy (77.1/2) having had a
colostomy (permanent) nearly 13 years ago, and I worked full time at semi-manual
labor right up until I was 75. I have had many different kinds of problems
with my management after the op, and although I'm managing it okay, I still have
an occasional "accident", but that's mainly due to trying to push my wear-time
(normally 7 days) by one day longer. Also, one does have to watch his/her type
of food & drink intake. I still have no trouble with showering or swimming.
