Hi Winnie,
I've had mine for a couple of years now. I was interested in the irrigation
procedure to, but the doctors and stoma nurse told me that they don't
recommend that anymore. To much danger of puncturing the wall was the reason
I think.

Hi Dee!
I'm 38, too! I've had mine since March 1st due to Rectal CA. So far,
not too bad. I am using the closed end disposable bags, I guess I'm
lazy so far, I like just disposing of them, instead of cleaning them
out. After chemotherapy, I hope to do the irrigation thing, and just
wear a stoma cap, I think that will afford me to be as active as before.
Anyone in this group do the irrigation thing, or have experience with
stoma caps?
Thanks for any information.
Winnie
